Q:Travel insurance questions My wife and I are going on a hiking trip in Switzerland. The company requires travel insurance. Here is their coverage; do you have something comparable, if so, at what rate? Personal accident up to $50,000 Medical and air ambulance $10 million Cancellation/curtailment $10,000 Hijack $6,000 Travel delay $200-$2,000 Baggage and personal effects $5,000 Single article limit $500 Personal money $1,000 Personal liability $4 million Legal expenses $30,000 The trip is 18 days long; I am 67 and my wife is 52. hank you for your help with this.

A:
To the best of my knowledge, there is no travel insurance product in US market that offers $10 million of medical coverage. You can look at various trip cancellation products available at /trip-cancellation-insurance/ Maximum amount of medical insurance in those products is $500,000, in Travel Plus. If you want the coverage with no trip cancellation, you can buy maximum up to $2,000,000, in Patriot International, available at /travel-health-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your prompt response. What is the closest possible match and what is the premium? If you want trip cancellation, the closest one would be Travel Plus. You can do that quotes online at /trip-cancellation-insurance/

Q:Looking for foreign student health Insurance I currently have the Liaison International plan that expires in August 2007. This was brought through InsuBuy. I am a student on a F1 visa in the USA, and I intend to continue to be a student for the next 4-5 years, so I am looking for a health insurance plan till then. My requirements are: Maximum Out-of-Pocket expenses of $2000-$3000 per year. The plan is renewable (probably on an annual basis) for 4-5 years. Minimum Medical evacuation coverage of $10,000 Mimimum Repatriation benefits of $7500 Minimum inpatient and outpatient benefits paid at 80% . Minimum Inpatient and outpatient mental health benfits at 50%. A high lifetime maximum coverage.I think this is necessary in event of a serious accident or illness, given the high-cost of health care nowadays. I feel that a lifetime limit of $300,000 or more is important. Would you suggest that a smaller lifetime maximum coverage will be sufficient? Reliability and helpfulness of the administrator and underwriter in submitting and processing claims. I am a very healthy person, and I have no history of medical conditions. What duration of exclusion period for pre-existing conditions will be appropriate for me? I understand that there may not be a single product that meets all these requirements. If so, can you inform me of the various trade-offs I can make and the product(s) for each trade-off? Thank you for your help, and I look forward to doing business with you.

A:
You can look at MNU's Student Secure Select plan at /student-secure-insurance/ It is not clear to me that MNU's plan provides all that I am looking for. After reading the details, it is not clear to me that my concerns in points 1, 2, and 7 are being addressed. Furthermore, it is more expensive than Liaison International's plan for the same duration. Could you explain to me how MNU's plan compares to Liaison's plan, ie the pros and cons? 1. Co-insurance is 80/20 for first $5,000, that is $1,000/incident. 2. It is renewable as long as you are eligible as full time F1 student. 7. It provides $300,000 coverage. Both companies are excellent companies.

Q:Monthly payment in Study USA I'm interested to purchase a "Plan A and Plan A Additional-Emergency Medical Evac." Could I pay it by montly payment? I didn't see any option for picking montly payment. Thank you for your service.

A:
In such insurance products, buying and paying is one and same thing. If you want to buy for 6 months, you have to pay for 6 months now. Alternatively, you have to buy for 1 month and renew it. Insurance company charges $5 renewal fee. Additionally, in many cases, the university requires you to buy for a sememster, 6 months or 1 year at a time. In that case, you have no other choice than to prepay upfront. You can purchase Study USA HealthCare online at /study-usa-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:International Student Insurance- info required I am a foreign exchange student who will be studying at the Univeristy of Florida next semester. I am 23 years old and will be staying in your country for 6 months and 19 days. My university has given me requirments regarding insurance policy for my stay in the USA: 1. Medical benefits of at least $ 200,000.00 per accident or illness; 2. Repatriation of remains in the amount of $ 7,500.00; 3. Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the student to his/her country in the amount of $ 10,000.00; 4. A deductible not to exceed $ 100.00 per occurrence if treatment is not administered at the University of Florida Student Health Care Center; 5. Policies must be acceptable at all licensed medical facilities abroad; 6. Pre-existing conditions must be covered after six months enrollment. I have browsed through your offers and found 2 interesting policies- Student Secure Budget for $322 and Study USA B for $ 334. I can see that points 1,2,3 are all covered in both plans. However, as I am not familiar with the insurance vocabulary, I am unable to determine whether any of the policies covers 4 and 6. Could you please advise which policy meets all the requirements listed above? I would also like to know what happens after I purchase the insurance policy. How do I use the information from the e-mail that you send after selling your service? Thank you in advance for the information

A:
4 and 6 are met by both the plans. As soon as you make the purchase, you will get the confirmation in the email. Just submit that confirmation to UCF. Also, get the waiver form from UCF, fill it and fax it back to us. We will fill our portion and send it back to UCF. You can purchase any of the products online at https://www.insubuy.com
