A little background information: My husband (33 years old) has been accepted for a PhD research program at the University of Arizona. He'll be arriving from Belgium with me (27 years old) and our newborn baby, who's expected to join us in 2 months time. We shall require a medical insurance coverage for all of us and are considering purchasing a cover. I have read some of the insurance brochures and have a few questions. We must take into account the following criteria when considering purchasing a plan: Will we be able to use the insurance with medical care providers in Tucson easily? Do they have a good recognition of your insurance cover? I am mainly interested in having the paediatrics expences, such as routine check-ups and immunisations covered for our new baby as well as emergency care. Does your insurance cover this? Up to what amount and under what conditions? Do you have a dental plan? Do you have a cover for eye examinations and glasses prescriptions? Does the type of visa matter, whether it's an F or a J type? Could you give us some quotes on the plans you have available which meet our requirements for a year from the 15th of July, please?
