Q:I plan to travel to US and also visit Cancun and Carmen in Mexico. Is the health travel coverage include Cancun and Carmen as well? I am a non-US citizen

A:
Most Travel Medical insurance plans are designed to cover you anywhere outside of your home country and the USA (unless included) . As Cancun and Carmen are both located in Mexico the coverage would be valid in Mexico not by the city. You can find plans that will cover you International in the Travel Outside the USA section of the website.

Q:I am looking for an insurance that fits my 3-month old baby for her routine vaccination and check up, while waiting for her medi-cal application to be approved. She is a U.S. citizen. Please get some suggestion and adivse.

A:
As a United States citizen there is not a international plan that can be purchased to cover preventative care such as immunizations, routine care, well baby checkups or vaccinations . If the baby is a citizen as well as resident and requires coverage in the United States then Domestic insurance would need to be obtained for coverage. If the baby is not a resident of the United States and traveled into the USA from the country of residence then there would not be such and option for coverage and these preventative items would have to be paid for out of pocket.

Q:Hi, my main travel country is to the US, though there is plan to visit Cancun for 1-2 days. Is Cancun included in coverage area? Thank you

A:
Most plans will provide coverage outside of the home country and the USA (unless included) however, this will be plan specific. If you have a plan that covers you in the USA and Internationally then coverage would extend to both locations. You can review the plans in the Visitors to the USA section of the website and select the coverage area International including USA this will filter the results to include the plans that will cover you in both locations.

On the Safe Travel policies , it was mentioned that there is no deductible as long as we go to In network providers. Can you confirm if I only go to In-Network providers under Safe Travel policy - I won't be charged any deductible at all? Please confirm. Also I do not see much difference between different Safe travel comprehensive policies - cost saver vs regular vs comprehensive. Is there any suggestion you can provide? As I mentioned My mother in law's age is 53 and she has diabetes and no other pre-existing conditions. Thank you
