Q:Patriot Platinum American Plan for International Visitors to the USA Good afternoon, We are sponsoring a group of delegates for an upcoming Cleft Congress in Orlando, Florida. They will be flying in from their respective countries on May 4th to the 11th, 2013. We would like them to have the best medical coverage possible, including for pre-existing conditions, for the week that they are in the USA. Our delegates range from 31 to 60 years of age. I was looking in your website and found information on Patriot Platinum American Plan which looked to be the most suitable for our delegates, with "0" deductible and $8 million max. limit. But if you have a more suitable suggestion, please let me know. We will be paying for their insurance cost (they already have trip cancellation and baggage loss and trip interruption insurance) and I would like to know if it would be possible for me to buy all the insurances but without having to put in an address for each (put our office as contact). I'm attaching a possible list of delegates with the basic information (passport number, last name I can send later once we have determined whether or not we will proceed with the purchase).

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing temporary medical coverage for your guests. We have are a leading brokerage company in the U.S. for travel medical insurance and we have all major products available in the U.S. market. The plan you have selected provides the maximum policy max. And if you are choosing $0 deductible and $8 million max, there is nothing better available anywhere. Regarding pre-existing conditions, please note that the plan will cover up to $20,000 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions for people below the age of 65 years. There is no travel medical insurance available in the market that would cover all pre-existing conditions. You can purchase Patriot Platinum America plan online at /patriot-america-platinum-insurance/ or we can do it over the phone for you. Alternatively, if you need higher coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions, please look at Liaison Continent at /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive-insurance/ It will cover up to $150,000 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions for persons below the age of 70 years if you purchase $1 million policy max, the highest available. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Q:Parents visitors insurance My parents have finally arrived and I want to cover them for 2 months. Their departure date is 5th May. I searched for three things on your website. Atlas, Liaison and just did a default search by entering their details. If I just enter their details, your website gives this option : However, based on my previous questions, you had recommended Atlas or Liaison. Would you please advice which is better ? The third option, guest insurance, seems to be the cheapest plan available. The atlas page does not give details on coverage of pre existing disease, but has lesser cost.Similarly Acute Onset Benefit $50,000 is given by liaison. Also, I do not anticipate anything to go wrong so I am thinking of selecting 2500 as deductible because that is bringing down the total cost for both of them. Of course I can afford 2500 in a God forbidden emergency. I would be grateful if you could please guide me. I am planning on 60 days. from 4th March to 3rd May. Thank you,

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing visitors insurance for your parents. Please note that Atlas America and Liaison Continent are comprehensive coverage plans, while Inbound Guest is fixed coverage plan. Read more details at /visitors-insurance/ Both Atlas America Liaison Continent provide coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Choosing higher deductible is absolutely fine. Q:Atlas America Visitor Insurance- Inquiry Hello, I am shopping for insurance for my parents(age 70-79) who are visiting USA for 6 months. I live in Fremont, California. I would like to confirm the following: 1) If the doctor is in a hospital covered by network, we are required to pay only the deductible and any additional cost up to the maximum will be billed directly by the hospital to the insurance company. Is our understanding correct?- I read through the restrictions regarding pre-existing conditions. 2) The provider directory indicates "Washington Hospital" in Fremont as one of the provider in the network. However, I see a statement " "Due to possible network restrictions or restrictions within your policy coverage not all providers may be accessible to all members. Refer to your policy documentation to verify your benefits or contact your Insurance Company or Plan Administrator identified on the back of your insurance ID card or insurance policy for further information." Please confirm if the visitor policy covers the hospital identified above. 3) I understand that when you purchase from other agent websites , the agent provides some assistance to the insured in case of dispute or situation requiring additional support by helping the insured contact the claim processing company. They also help in other communications with the insurance company. Does Insubuy provide such support? Thank you

A:
1. Yes, that is generally correct. 2. Yes, Washington Hospital is in PPO network. However, please note that not just in this hospital, but in all the hospitals throughout the U.S., there are many providers (doctors, technicians etc.) who work in the hospital, but they are not the employees of the hospital, but independent contractors. They may or may not participate in a particular PPO network. This is a general problem with the U.S. healthcare system, and not specific to any insurance company or any hospital. Therefore, you have to be careful that whenever possible, you make sure that they use the providers in the PPO network to get in network benefits. Sometimes, it is not under your control and in that case, out of network benefits will apply. That is the same case with my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance through my work. 3. Yes, Insubuy absolutely provides such support and we have helped numerous customers in various ways throughout the claim process. Insubuy is the largest and one of oldest brokerage companies in the U.S. for visitors insurance. In fact, Insubuy is the largest seller in the world for Atlas America. Look at our award for that at /insubuy-achievements/ You can purchase Atlas America insurance online at /atlasamerica-insurance/ or you can call us and we can do it over the phone. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any further questions.

Q:Health insurance for non resident Good Morning, My sister in law is a single parent who has lived here in the Florida for over 9 years. She is a single parent without a green card. All that she has is a Taxpayer Identification Number. Her son is 11 years old and was born in Brazil. His only identification is his passport. She would like to get health insurance for him. Are there any companies out there that will cover him by himself? If not can she get a comprehensive family plan? If the answer is no to both situations, what do individuals do in cases like these? Thank you,

A:
Unfortunately, there are no insurance plans available for illegal people.

Q:Insurance F1/F2 I have a quick question for you - I need to get insurance for me and my wife. Could you please let me know suitable options that I have. I am on F1 student visa and my wife is on F2 dependent visa. I need to get insurance just for 15 days (after that I will on university insurance once school starts), whereas my wife needs to get it for longer time. Could you please suggest some good options? Thanks in advance!

A:
Please call our office and we would be glad to help you select the right plan for you needs. Before calling, please send the requirements of you school for international student insurance. I just spoke to one of your customer representative about getting an insurance for my wife who is on F2 dependent visa. I was told that she cannot get visitor's insurance (e.g. Patriot America) since she was on my domestic insurance plan (UMR) while I was working full time (Aug 2011 - Dec 2012). I was told to get her a domestic short-term insurance. I just needed to confirm with you if there is any way she can still get visitor's health insurance. Thanks much. No. The advice you were given is correct.

Q:Missionary insurance for Kenya Below are some questions my step-father had about the plans (since he knows a whole lot more about this topic. I know we talked more about the short-term plan but this seems to fall under long-term. If I went with the short-term, would I be covered in the states when I come back? I realized in starting to pack up my things that I had IMG in the past through another missions agency but did not have to use it while on the field...so i'm not really sure the protocol. Any assistance you can give me would be great so I make an informed decision. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ The insurance that I researched and seems to be a good fit for you is Global Mission Medical Insurance - IMG ( International Medical Group) Info can be accessed through INSUBUY website and can be purchased online. They offer 4 plans - Silver or Gold would would be your best choices. Silver - worldwide coverage Gold - worldwide except U.S., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan,... Gold is less expensive and probably your best choice. The rate sheet is available on website. Some questions you probably need to ask before choosing this plan or any other. From folks in Kenya - What plan do folks have that are serving in your area? Are you eligible to participate? Does anyone have GMMI - IMG Ins and do the medical facilities in your area accept this ins. From Insurance broker INSUBUY The above questions plus What plan do they recommend for your particular situation? If you choose this plan over the Silver plan - will you be covered during your travel and stay back in the U.S.? If the gold plan from GMMI -IMG makes sense or any other recommended plan then you need to choose the highest deductible you can afford - probably between $250, $500 and $1000. Your yearly premium would be between $1069, 998, and 736, respectively for the gold plan.

A:
1. Yes, people in Kenya have purchase GMMI plans. 2. In all GMMI plans such as Silver, Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum, you can choose the appropriate area such as worldwide, worldwide excluding US and few other countries etc. Therefore, if you could like the coverage in the U.S., you must select worldwide. GMMI is highly recommended and you purchase it online at /global-medical-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions.
