Q:Travel Insurance Inquiry: US citizen I am looking at buying travel insurance through your website. I am a U.S. citizen living in Panama. I am traveling to the U.S. from May 3rd - May 31st. I will be in Florida for a week and then Alabama the remainder of the time. When I go to buy the insurance I want on your website, do I need to buy two different insurance plans since I can only select one state?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You can purchase one plan for the full duration and just choose the state based on the mailing address you choose. If you are using a Florida mailing address then choose Florida during the quote process. You will have coverage in all states. Since you are a US citizen visiting the US then you would be eligible for the Liaison Plans. I would recommend the Liaison Continent plan A. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Patriot Gotravel/Platinum America Insurance Hello â€" I am looking for visitor’s health insurance for my father who is 71 years old and has diabetes and high blood pressure. The main reason I am considering comprehensive insurance from U.S. (even if coverage for pre-existing conditions for age 65+ is limited to 2,500) is to get in-network insurance negotiated prices. For example, say I have to go to emergency ward of a hospital within First health PPO network and say it is due to pre-existing conditions I understand this insurance will only cover up to $2,500 (under Sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-existing condition) but will the rest of the bill will be priced at the insurance in-network negotiated prices or hospitals’ full price where even a pain killer tablet can be for $400?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The network negotiated rates will only apply to the eligible expenses. So the amount that is valid for the insurance company to pay is what will be at the negotiated rates and max. amount will be $2500. More information on sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-existing conditions, /sudden-and-unexpected-recurrence-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Patriot Go travel does not cover any travel benefits like evacuation or repatriation. If you are OK with that you can purchase Patriot go travel plan. Patriot Go Travel brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /patriot-america-lite-insurance/ You can also purchase Patriot Platinum plan with $100k and it has sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-ex and travel benefits as well. Patriot Platinum brochure, instant purchase link, /patriot-america-platinum-insurance/ Updated 08/15: You can also purchase Safe Travels USA comprehensive insurance. Which covers $25000 for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to age 89yrs. Plese find more information on Safe Travels USA comprehensive plans at, /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive-insurance/ You can also find more plans at www.insubuy.com Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans. You can narrow by plans with pre-existing coverage and you can also compare them side by side. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. Have a great day! Okay thanks for the clarification. Also how many days after arrival in U.S. you are still eligible to buy Atlas America or Patriot Gotravel insurance? For the Patriot plans you would have to purchase within 30 days of arrival while the Atlas plans do not have that restriction. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Fiance Insurance I’d like to inquire as to health insurance for my partner. I’m looking into the possibility of taking a job in California and would like to know if it would be affordable to cover my fiancé. She currently suffers from Lupus and requires specialist medical care which makes me think the premiums will likely be unaffordable but I’d like to find out regardless. Kind Regards

A:
Hello, Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Please advise the visa type and country of citizenship that your fiancé is currently in the United States on so that a proper plan recommendation can be made. Hi thanks for the reply. We haven't applied for Visas yet (i'm looking into whether it is possible for us to afford the inevitably huge medical insurance costs for her existing Lupus before I apply for roles). I believe she would have to get a dependents Visa - I would be applying for roles in my industry (video games / animation). Sorry if all this is vague and can't answer your question. I've not had to deal with Visa's since I did a year abroad in 2002 and thought that would be my next step if supporting my fiancé is affordable. Ideally she'd get an offer too so that we could both seek appropriate visas and not be a dependent. Would this affect health insurance quotes? The visa status will not affect the cost but it will determine what plans she will be eligible for. The plans we offer are short term plans that do not cover pre-existing conditions, routine maintenance or preventative care. There are no plans on the market for visitors that will cover these things. If you are looking specifically for plans to cover her pre-existing conditions then you would have to purchase a domestic plan when she becomes eligible. The cost of a domestic plan is not based on underwriting factors but instead on her age. The domestic plans will cost more than visitor plans because of the additional coverage they offer. If you would like to speak with a licensed agent about your options for coverage please feel free to contact our office. For us to provide a quote we would need to have more information such as her citizenship, home country, age, state she will be residing, dates of coverage (or we can provide a monthly amount), and what her status will be when she arrives.

Q:Insurance for specific illness Greetings, I am Belarusian resident. (The Republic of Belarus) Medical insurance in our country is weak and does not provide with the coverage in case of serious illnesses like Hepatitis or AIDS. I am a healthy man, non smoking/drinking person, and I've found out that treatment in case of Hepatitis C using Sovaldi drugs can cost up to 100K USD, and there are no insurance programs in my country that can cover this. I've read special articles about hepatitis and became a little bit scared about that. Please tell me are there any medical insurance plans for Belarusian residents that can cover medical expenses in case of Hepatitis or AIDS. Thanks.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Short term plan will pay for new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. Insurance will not pay for any elective treatment, preventive care or pre-existing conditions. Please visit our website at www.insubuy.com Enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us.
