Q:Query: Atlas America I am planning to purchase Atlas America insurance for my parents who will be visiting US next month. I had few questions regarding it: 1. Mostly my parents will be located in Minneapolis, MN but would travel for few days to other places in the US. In case we need to avail medical attention during their stay outside Minneapolis, MN would Atlas America plan work? 2. Is there a limited coverage for pre-existing condition or until policy maximum? 3. Is there a refund for the unused portion of the insurance? For example, if I buy the insurance today for 3 months and due to changes in travel plans they need to curtail their trip to 1 month? Or I purchase the insurance today for their upcoming trip for next month and they need to push the dates by few months? 4. For the claims, should I be contacting Insubuy first or HCCMIS? 5. If I need to avail Urgent Care, and the doctor decides advises for example x-rays, blood tests, administers injections. How are these covered by Atlas America plan?

A:
1. Atlas America covers everywhere outside home country including during travel. (Home country- where they normally live/reside) 2. Atlas’s acute on-set benefit covers up to the policy maximum you choose. So for example, you choose a 100,000 policy maximum, you have 100,000 of Acute on-set coverage. 3. Cancellation policy- After a 5 day minimum purchase you are eligible for a pro-rated refund minus a 25.00 cancellation fee as long as no claims have been filed. Any claims filed, no refund. 4. You can file claims from our website and access claims forms. You can contact Insubuy at 866 INSUBUY if you have any questions about claims. 5. After the one time deductible, if you are at an in-network provider and they are direct billing the insurance company all new illnesses and injury medical expenses are covered up to the policy maximum. Out of network or not direct billing after one time deductible the plan will pay 80% and you 20% of the first 5,000 in charges and then the plan will cover at 100% thereafter. However, there are Urgent care centers and there are Emergency rooms- The above response applies to both, however, if someone goes to an Emergency room for an illness and they are not admitted into the hospital, there a 200.00 penalty co-pay.

Q:Urgent Inquiry Expatriate I am living In Trinidad&Tobago and frequently visit the United States. I will like to get a health that covers me in both places.

A:
We would need some more information to be able to assist. Are you stating that you come to the U.S. on a visitor visa? You stated you live in Trinidad and Tobago but what is your country of citizenship? We would need this information to determine if we have plans that could cover you in both places. Some plans cover outside the home country (where you reside) but not where you reside and some cover outside county of citizenship. Please advise. My country of citizenship is Trinidad but I frequent visit the US and also I prefer the medical care in the US. Yes I go on a visitor visa. How long will be your each trip? Are you looking for short term or long term insurance? My trips are usually 3 weeks about 3 times for the year. I am looking for long term coverage. You can purchase Expatriate insurance. Please find more information > at, /expatriate-health-insurance/ > > If you have insurance in your home country you can purchase multi-trip > insurance also. > More information on multi-trip insurance, > /multi-trip-travel-insurance/ > > Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. This expatriate coverage specifically says "not for people planning to visit the US" That is because if you were only wanting coverage for the US when you visit the US then you would purchase a short term plan for visitors to the US. You are instead wanting a long term plan to cover you worldwide and not just for a visit to the US.

Q:Are Vaccinations covered by visitor insurance I am planning to take Atlas america comprehensive plan for my mother who is going to visit US. I would like to know whether this insurance plan will cover normal vaccinations like flu shot, TDap etc..

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. There is no short term plan for an international visitor which covers immunization or wellness checkup. Insurance will pay for new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the eff. date of the policy. No pre-existing or preventive care. However, Atlas America plan has coverage for acute onset of pre-existing for the age below 70 years. More information on acute onset of pre-ex, /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Atlas America brochure, instant purchase link, /atlasamerica-insurance/ Please review the plan information and feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. Q:Insurance F1 student I don't see routine physical exam and immunization vaccines in the benefits. Are they covered and are they covered at 100%? Thanks.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. Please provide the name of the insurance plan that you are interested in purchasing. I want to compare "Student Secure Budget", "Study USA Preferred", "Patriot Exchange Program" and "Student Health Advantage Standard". Does any of these plan provide routine physical exam and immunization coverage? Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The only plan that will allow for 1 annual physical exam would be the Study USA Preferred plan. The plan will allow for $100% of one routine Physical Exam per member per certificate period. Immunizations will be covered as they relate to the new accidents and new illness that happen while covered under the policy. For more information please see the certificate wording for this plan using the link listed below. Study USA Preferred Certificate Wording: /study-usa-healthcare/student-medical-insurance-preferred.pdf I also want to know if injuries from middle school soccer practices and competitions are covered under the "Patriot Exchange Program". Or do I need to buy the sports rider to add on? It is not high school or collage practices or games, but it does have regular practices and scheduled games. Thank you for contacting Insubuy. Please provide the visa type that the proposed insured will be arriving in the United States on to determine eligibility for the Patriot Exchange Program. If there are any requirements that the sponsoring organization requires insurance to meet please send them as well and we can direct you to the appropriate plan. The visa type is F1. There are no requirements from the school. Thank you for contacting Insubuy. There would be no coverage for a middle school aged child playing sports under the Patriot Exchange Program. The plan will not cover it adding the rider is only for High School sports. If you need any further clarification please feel free to contact our office. Does the Study USA Preferred plan cover middle school aged child playing sports for school competitions? It has Sport Injuries coverage, but not clear if it is also for high school sports only. The Study USA plan is offered to college age and above. Unfortunately, they will not cover a middle school student. Thank you for the reply. Is Student Secure Budget or Student Health Advantage Standard offered to cover a middle school student or a high school student? Unfortunately, there are not any plans that will cover a middle school student for any sports activities. The plans will only cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the policy effective date.

Q:Payment option for visitor insurance My problem was that I can not pay with my credit card from China. My card is a MasterCard and I can use it in Walmart and other stores. Your website asks me to contact my bank but I want to know if you know what is the problem? What kind of card do you accept?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Have you tried to complete the application process online? Yes, I filled all the information and went to the last step of paying, but my card was rejected twice. Or you mean I need to create an account and log in on your website first? If your credit card does not allow for international charges then your bank may not allow for the charge to be processed. Please contact your financial institution to make sure it allows for this type of transaction. You may have to use another credit card that allows for international transactions and will allow payment by USD. You can make payment with any major credit card.
