Q:J2 Maternity coverage I am a J1 visa holder. I will doing visiting research work in University of Missouri, Columbia. My wife is a J2 visa holder and pregnant. we will be there for 3 months from May 2016-Aug 2016. And we will have a baby in June. We want to buy a medical insurance that Cover the Maternity and childbirth expenses. We want to buy a 3-months insurance. So I just want to know which type of insurance plan is good for us and how much is it per month for our conditions? Thank you very much.

A:
Thank your for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. However, there are no plans that we can offer you to cover maternity or child birth cost. With plans that are available conception has to happen after the effective date of the policy for any coverage to apply. So she would not qualify for any plans that would assist in these expenses. If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:J1 and J2 Insurance questions Dear Friends This is Vahid. I am going to start my sabbatical leave as a research scholar in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 01/21/2016 for 8 months. I will come along with my wife (41), and my 2 daughters (15 and 2 yrs). Our medical insurance must have the following requirements: 1) medical benefits of at least US 100000 $ per accident or illness; 2) repatriation of remains in amount of US 25000 $; 3) expenses associated with medical evacuation in the amount of US 50000 $. A policy secured to fulfill the insurance requirements shall not have a deductible that exceeds US 500$ per accident or illness and must meet other standards specified in the Exchange Visitor Program regulations, 22 CFR Part 62.14. A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. You can purchase Patriot Exchange plan with $100k which meets all your school requirements. Patriot Exchange brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /patriot-exchange-program-insurance/ Please review this plan and if you have any further questions feel free to contact us. Have a great day! Hello Thank you for your advice. I have two questions 1 I am not sure meaning of pre-existing condition within 36 months charges exclude until after 12 months of coverage will be met the criteria, can you explain or confirm me? 2 If I buy this insurance but it does not meet the criteria, can I refund my payment and how? Thank you. The Patriot Exchange Program has a 12 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions. This is stating the plan will not cover any pre-existing condition until after 12 months of continuous coverage. If you cancel this policy before the effective date you will receive a full refund. If the cancellation is received any time after the effective date you would receive a prorated refund for the fully unused months minus a $50.00 cancellation fee as long as no claims have been filed since the effective date. If you have any additional questions please let us know.
