Looking at your website, I saw the Patriot Platinum America on the section for exchange visitors with a J-1 visa. To me, it looks more generous (mainly because it has a 5 million USD limit) than the Student Secure ELITE Plan you suggest and is also cheaper. Since I am no expert, I would like to know why you recommend the Student Secure ELITE Plan?

Q:I need to purchase 11 days health insurance while travelling from Ireland to US (20-31 August 2017) My medical insurance with the George Washington University begins on 1 September. The following criteria are required: 1. Medical Benefits of at least $100,000 US dollars per accident or illness. 2. Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000 US dollars (Definition of Repatriation: If a person dies in a foreign country, we say they are "repatriated" when their body is returned to the native country. Repatriation insurance is used for transportation expenses related to returning the deceased to their native country.) 3. Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the non-immigrant student to home country in the amount of $50,000 US. 4. Deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness. 5. An A.M. Best rating of ''A-'' or above; 6. McGraw Hill Financial/Standard & Poor's Claims paying Ability rating of ''A-'' or above; 7. Weiss Research, Inc. rating of ''B+'' or above; 8. Fitch Ratings, Inc. rating of ''A-'' or above; 9. Moody's Investor Services rating of ''A3'' or above. Does the Atlas Essential America Insurance cover all of the above criteria? Many thanks.
Q:I am currently working at UMass Amherst as an international scholar on a J1 visa. My country of citizenship is Germany, 32 years old. My contract at UMass and my current health insurance policy at BCBS; will end on August 31, 2017. However, I am leaving the country several days later, on September 3. I would like to purchase a short-term health insurance policy to cover the period from September 1-5, until I start my next job. I need a policy for both the US and abroad it can be two different policies, in particular it should be valid in Israel where I am traveling from the US. Thank you.
