Q:I'm going to be graduating from UC in December and won't be eligible for the student health insurance. I'm 28 years old, green card holder with Brazilian citizenship, self-employed musician and need to find a good health insurance for myself. Could you please help me?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, we don't have a long term domestic plan that we can offer at this time. Since open enrollment starts 11/1/17 you can check with your state department of insurance to discuss your options. If you need a short term plan until a long term plan starts you can look at the International Major Medical plan that is offered in the new immigrant section of our website. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am planning to purchase insurance policy for my parents for a period of 5 months as they have visited USA for the first time. As they have arrived on October 12th 2017 to Seattle, WA. I would appreciate if you could suggest few policies which I could go for. It would be of great help, if you could confirm the following: 1) Can I convert the amount in EMI. 2) I am looking for a policy in which there is least deductible amount from my side. Details: Father: Age 61 Nationality: Indian Current Location : Seattle Mother: Age 53 Nationality: Indian Current Location : Seattle NOTE** : I have checked the plans provided on the website, however could not find the answers for the above questions.

A:
To answer your questions, 1. No, the amount cannot be converted and 2. All of the available plans offer a zero dollar deductible. When looking at the plans online, where it says deductible, that is a drop down that shows all of the available deductible options. Is there a particular plan that you have a question about? I can email you the quotes for the available plans but that will be the same plans that you see online at our website. You can also call our office to speak with a licensed agent.

Q:I am looking for a quote for medical insurance for my 87 years old father who is a UK citizen and is staying with us in Canada until mid January he has had treatment for prostrate cancer 2 years ago he is clear of the cancer but still has medication .what information do you require to give a quote

A:
The plans that are available will cover any new accidents or new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. Plans do not cover any pre-existing conditions, preventative care, routine visits or medications as it relates to pre-existing conditions. If you would provide the dates of coverage that would be required, we would be more than happy to send you a quote for coverage. Meanwhile, you can take a look at the available plans on the Travel Health Insurance for Outside the USA section of our website. You can enter the applicable criteria and produce a quote for the available plans.

Q:I am a J2 dependent from University of Michigan, Dearborn. I arrived in US several weeks ago and is looking for a health insurance which is comparable to the university insurance standards. Could you please tell me if INSUBUY have such an insurance plan? The university insurance standards can be found on the website: https://internationalcenter.umich.edu/resources/healthins/waiver#standards I would need a health insurance plan just for myself. My husband is covered by a health insurance and his University pays for it. I can join his plan as a dependent but I do not like the high deductible of the family package.

A:
We have many plans that you can purchase for J2 visa holder which meets standard J2 visa requirements. But before we suggest any plan would like to know the school requirements. Can you please send us insurance requirements from the school in pdf attachment at your earliest convenience. Please visit our J1/J2 Visa Health Insurance to view our plans. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
