Q:I am looking for insurance cover for my mother who is traveling to USA on 15th Feb for 3 months is currently 62 years old. Could you please suggest me some suitable plan with following possible coverage? Maximum Limit: 500,000 USD Supplemental Accidental Death: 100,000 USD

A:
There is a plan called Atlas America that will offer coverage for any new accidents or new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. This plan will offer coverage in the amount of $500,000 as you request which we have sent you a quote for your reference. There is the ability to add additional AD&D coverage onto the policy to equal the $100,000 in AD&D coverage that you are needing for an additional fee.

Q:I wanted to buy travel insurance for my mother based in India and travelling to Singapore. She is 66 years old and has pre-existing conditions. I am interested to buy Atlas International underwritten by Lloyds. Can you please confirm if this is applicable in Singapore for someone travelling from India? I have read good reviews for your company but mostly talk only about your coverage within US. Can you please also let me know for coverage outside of US, in Singapore and also in Germany? I would also like to know if pre-existing conditions are covered for this policy?

A:
The Atlas International plan is available for coverage to anyone traveling outside of their home country. However, these plans do not cover any pre-existing conditions. Short Term plans are designed to cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy.

A:
We are sorry to hear that you are having claims problem. Please note that the visitors insurance plans exclude pre-existing conditions even if they occur first time and you didn't know about it. As long as the condition existed prior to the effective date of the policy, it would be excluded. Patriot America Plus covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions but it must all of sudden without any prior warning or symptoms and you must take treatment within the next 24 hours. Q:I am looking to purchase "Atlas Exchange-Choice" insurance. how much will atlas cover for prescription medication? I know it says on the website that "prescription drugs are covered like any other medical expense", but that does not tell me HOW much Atlas will pay for my prescriptions. I hope you can bring some light into the dark tunnel here.

A:
There isn't a fixed amount that the plan pays for prescriptions. It will pay either 100% or 80% of the URC charges up to the policy max for covered prescriptions depending on the coverage you choose.
