Atlas America - Acute onset of preexisting... for 55+ Hello: I'm looking for a policy for my parents aged 58 and 51. My father (58) has diabetes. Regarding Atlas America, I noticed in an earlier thread (from last year). >> 2. Effective May 1, 2012, acute onset of pre-existing conditions is effectively restricted to people under the age of 55 years. Does this still apply to Atlas America plans? I also noticed that you recommend to purchase plans separately for multiple individuals. Would you still advise the same in this scenario? Thanks, Sriram.
1. That does not apply currently. That restriction was lifted in August, 2012. 2. Yes, we always recommend you to do seapare applications for each person.
