Headquartered in Omaha, NE, Travelex Insurance Services (TIS) was founded in 1996 when the Travelex Group purchased the travel insurance distribution services of Mutual of Omaha Companies.

Not only do we provide simple, yet comprehensive insurance plans for customers, our relationship-driven approach and superior customer service has been recognized by industry leaders.

The strength of the TIS brand, our reputation and services have been recognized in the United States as a leader in the travel insurance industry.

Establishing ourselves as an innovator, TIS introduced the pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver - a breakthrough in enhanced travel insurance for the consumer. Travelex was also an industry leader with the inclusion of features such as covering children at no additional cost and including key-person coverage for non-traditional families.

In 2016 Travelex Insurance Services was acquired by Cover-More Group, Australia's largest travel insurance, medical assistance and employee assistance provider. The group is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: CVO). Cover-More has the leading market position in Australia and a growing footprint in India and China. In addition, they have a presence in Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and now the United States.
