Most plans, except fixed coverage plans, from Tokio Marine HCC - MIS Group participate in the United Healthcare PPO Network or the First Health PPO Network.

When you contact a medical provider or present your ID card, what should you say?

"My insurance uses the United Healthcare PPO Network or the First Health PPO Network and I found your name on the network search directory."

DO NOT SAY:

"I have Tokio Marine HCC Insurance" or "I use Tokio Marine HCC Network" or "I have Atlas America insurance" or "I have Insubuy insurance."

Providers WILL NOT recognize this language, and your insurance may not be accepted.

Make sure to present your insurance ID card, NOT other documents such as business card or certificate wording.

Your insurance plan will participate in United Healthcare PPO under the following circumstances:

  • Your initial purchase of Atlas Series, ExchangeGuard or StudentSecure products is on or after July 1, 2019, and
  • Your initial purchase of Visit USA, Intermedical, WorldMed or Study USA products is on or after August 28, 2019, and
  • Your home country or citizenship is not in European Union.

Your insurance plan will participate in First Health PPO under the following circumstances:

  • Your initial purchase of Atlas Series, ExchangeGuard or StudentSecure products is prior to July 1, 2019, or

  • Your home country or citizenship is in European Union.

Please refer to your insurance ID card for the appropriate PPO network logo to confirm your access to a specific network.

Outside the U.S.A.

You are free to visit any provider you like. For your convenience, a listing of providers participating in our international network is located at International Provider Network Directory.

The doctor's office or local hospital has a choice to be paid by the patient or by the plan administrator. However, for larger eligible expenses like hospitalization/surgery etc., you may contact the plan administrator and they will ask the provider to arrange direct billing.
