    Asthma is generally considered a chronic condition. She may not have had an attack but if she’s had any treatment or symptoms, that still counts. Coverage would depend on the medical records insurance company gets from her treating physician.

    It is very difficult to be more definite, but they review case by case.

    My friend is trying to buy insurance for her doughter who is over seas. The doughter is HIV +. I heared there is no any company who would let her buy insurance because of the status. Is it true? If not, is there one she can buy from.

    That's true. No insurance for her.

    In fact, you can look at the insurance brochures from various companies and it will mention that in the exclusion section that the person should not be HIV+ at the time of application.

    Actually, the embassy does not want to give immigrant visa to such persons. That is why, they are asking you to get medical insurance and they very well know that insurance companies will not give insurance to them.
