Default How will the providers determine if something is pre-existing or not?

    Hello,

Thanks. I am aware of the fact that medical visits/medications etc. that are linked to pre-existing conditions will not be covered.

However, especially in case of diabetes, any other ailment or condition can be directly or indirectly linked to diabetes. How will the insurance make a determination whether a visit or hospitalization was caused by diabetes only?

    Thanks

The attending physician will provide a report to the claims department upon the filing of a claim. The claims department will refer to that report to determine if the claim if for something new or related to something pre-existing.
    Thanks & Regards
