    Question Oriental Overseas Travel Insurance

Anyone here has any experience with Oriental Overseas Travel Insurance? I have read some posts about Bajaj, Lombard, and Tata AIG but did not hear anything about Oriental Overseas Travel Insurance.

    Thanks!

If you look at the very old posts at

    https://www.insubuy.comhttps://www.i...rance-reviews/
    https://www.insubuy.com/forum/

you will see details about them. (When you see any comments about CORIS as well, that is them.) I don't see any comments any more about them. I guess so because not many people consider buying from them any more, when much better options are available right here in the US.

    Smile Visitors care

    Hi Narendra,

I checked your website and searched for 100,000 coverage plan and I am getting inclined to this Visitor's Insurance plan for 100,000. I don't clearly understand this by reading the benefits (https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-care-insurance/plan/). What is 75% or URC? For medicines it gives us $250/period of coverage. That means how much will be my co-pay? Medicines is US is very costly and if it's not subsidized by the insurance company then I can only get one or 2 prescriptions drugs in this much amount. If I go to my pharmacist I pay co-pay for medicines only and sometimes that's also $40 depending on the drug and sometimes it's just $5 copay for some generics. 5,500/surgical session and I know if it's negotiated by the insurance company it's cheaper otherwise they charge a lot to an individual. Could you please clarify this?

Thanks a lot for helping us here!

There are two types of insurance plans:

    Fixed: Cheaper, limited coverage
    Comprehensive: More expensive, better coverage
    More information at https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-insurance/

Visitors Care is a fixed coverage plan. If you take $100,000 coverage, it will pay
    $85 for Dr. visit,
    $550 for emergency visit,
$5,500 for surgery and so on.
You will have to pay the difference out of your pocket.

There is no concept of co-pay in visitors insurance (or any short term health insurance).

When you go to the providers in the network, they will charge network negotiated fee and that would be applicable for medical benefits such as surgery, dr visit etc.
However, for pharmacy, there is no network and therefore no network negotiated fees. I completely understand that $250 is a low amount for rx drugs. That is exactly why we have plans in the comprehensive category that cost more and provide better coverage.

I hope that answers your questions. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
    Thanks & Regards
