I am a double national, American-Spanish, always living in my home country Spain. In the next academic year term from August 15th, I will be a full-time student at University of Idaho as an international student, I am not going for a degree from UI, credits are to be transferred to my university in Spain. But I must be there as an American citizen, therefore I won?t have any visa. The question is whether I could be eligible for the International Student Insurance during my staying at UI (about 9 months).

I am not sure whether your “short term medical insurance” coverage meet completely the University of Idaho insurance requirements as below listed. Would you tell me? If they meet maybe it would be my best option.

As a US citizen your US citizenship will always take precedence for insurance purposes.

You will need to purchase insurance from your sponsoring organization.
