A pre-existing condition that is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually gets worse over time will not be considered a "acute onset of a pre-existing condition". The acute onset of a pre-existing condition does not include coverage for known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or treatment existent or necessary prior to the effective date of the evidence of insurance, effective date of coverage or effective date of insurance. The acute onset of a pre-existing condition does not include treatment after the initial stabilization of a covered or eligible benefit for "acute onset of a pre-existing condition".
