My parents live abroad but are US citizens, and are visiting us to help with our new baby. I would like to buy health insurance for them. What officially qualifies them as living abroad? Do you need a document from a foreign government attesting to their permanent residency status? Do you need some kind of a document showing their residency status in the US?

This plan can cover a U.S. citizen visiting the U.S. who primarily resides outside the U.S. and includes benefits for Covid-19 if contracted after the effective date of the policy. You do not need to provide any documentation when purchasing the policy. If a claim were to be filed, they would have to be able to show proof of their primary residency outside of the U.S.
