Question:

I am a US citizen living in Croatia. I am also a Croatian citizen and I am covered by insurance in Croatia. I will be coming to the USA to visit using a US Passport. My three children (ages 7, 5 and 3 years old) will also be with me. They also have dual citizenship and will use their US Passports. My husband will also be with us, but he is NOT a US citizen and will use his Croatian passport. The HOME COUNTRY for all 5 of us is Croatia and we are all covered by Croatian medical insurance. I know that we will not be covered by our Croatian medical insurance because we are entering the US with US passports. Which insurance would best cover each of us if we have any emergency medical needs? I assume my children and I would have one insurance and my husband another. Or can we all be on one insurance plan? We will be in the US for 22 days.

Answer:

We would be glad to assist.

You would want to look at our Visitors to the U.S. plans

You will have to have 2 separate plans due to the different citizenship.

You and your children will be on 1 policy together as you will need to list United States as citizenship within the quote screen.

You will use the same link to obtain a plan for your spouse, however, listing Croatia as country of citizenship.

Anytime there is dual citizenship and one of the citizenship is U.S.- they are considered U.S. citizens for insurance purposes.
