What if I develop symptoms of Covid 19 that I didn't have before arriving to the USA? And then subsequently it is discovered that I was probably infected prior to departure to the USA. Would you cover medical expenses?
The plans would not allow coverage for the described situation. The plans that offer the coverage for COVID-19 allow it to be treated as any other eligible expense. This means as long as it were to manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy it could be treated, but in the case you have described the manifestation occurred prior to the effective date of the policy. The plans will cover the new things and exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. Should you have further questions you may call our office at (866) 467-8289.
