Question:

K1 visa insurance - policy requires me to put date of return to home country, but obviously as a K1 visa holder I am intending on remaining in the US until I am granted a Green Card. I plan on transferring to my fiance's insurance after we are married. What should I put as the date of end of trip?

Answer:

Where it asks for your return date to home country, you are just going to enter the last date you need coverage.  So for example if you think you need the insurance until 9/1/20 when maybe you are eligilbe for coverage through a spouses employer at that time you would just enter 9/1/20.  If you choose a date and end up needing to use the insurance longer, as long as the policy is extendable, you would just go in and extend it for a longer time period. It is really asking how long will you need the coverage. Based on your situation, you may not be returning to home country at all.
