I previously purchased Major Medical insurance offered by Petersen International through insubuy. Since that time my status in the US changed. I purchased the insurance plan when I was a student on F-1 visa. I recently became a permanent resident in the US. Do you offer any plans for permanent residents that I can switch to? I can purchase insurance through my employer, but I wanted to check with you first to see if there were other options available.
If you are eligible for domestic insurance, that would make you in-eligible for our plans. If you were to enroll into one of our plans and be eligible for domestic insurance, any claims filed would be denied.
If you are eligible for domestic insurance, you would need to enroll into it. Open enrollment is going on now through the deadline date of Dec. 15th. You would have to contact them by Dec 15th to be able to get a plan for 2020.
