ICICI Lombard Insurance - Reg Cheating in Health Insurance Policy

Actually i applied For an ICICI Credit card in the month of April through an agent who came to my office.. He asked us to fill our details and return it to him leaving some columns blank. Nearly after a month, i got my credit card statement indicating i have to pay an amount of Rs.6732/-. When i called the customer care, i came to know that a health insurance policy has been opened from my account. Then i thought it was a cheat and requested for the cancellation of my credit card, but they refused and talked harshly to me, mentioning that until i pay the amount they will not cancel my card and also they were adding on intrest to that amount. Then atlast after 2 months i paid the amount and requested for the cancellation of policy and credit card. I have called to ICICI Lombard Insurance team for the cancellation of my policy for nearly 15 times. After 4 months, i got some positive message for my cancellation. I don't know whats happening in ICICI. because of their irresponsibility, i lost an amount of nearly Rs. 4500 /-. Please take care that these kind of cheats and frauds do not take place again.

Never Buy Met Life

Dear All,

My self Anup Kumar Mishra is holding 2 policies of Metlife's said to be a reputed and customer service oriented organization which is a not a reality.

Please find the below mentioned policy details for your reference.

1200600212522 Agent Name: Ajay Agarwal
1200600234881 Agent Name: Ajay Agarwal

The premium of the above polices are paid on monthly basis for Rs. 2000/- each through ECS from my ICICI bank A/c no. 627501512178 ( Bhawanipore Branch).

Every thing was going fine till May 07 when the ECS against my policy no.
1200600212522 stopped which I came to know in the month of July 07 when I received “Lapse Notice” date 17th July 07, I got in touch with Metlife customer service team, they entertained me several times without providing me a complain number and assured me that they will get in touch with me within 24 hrs when ever I called, which never came. After persuading several times I got a complain no.5386 given to me by Mr. Jhon who also assured me that the he will get in touch with me in the next 24 hrs which never happened. After making several persuasions from my side I came to know from Miss. Sahin Karim (of Metlife's customer service department) that what ever has happen is due to of my fault as I don’t have money in my account to pay the premium which was a baseless allegation, as I always had balance in my account which can be proved from my bank statement. In spite to my busy Schedule I called several time to Metlife people for resolving the same but no one turned up and at last I found a free lancer Mr. Rajesh who some how was associated with Metlife and had deposited my over due payment of
12000/- through chq dated 8/10/07 of ICICI Bank Ltd against the said policy, he had also deposited a cancel chq with your office for ECS which I don’t know till date has happened or not?

I thought my nightmare has ended but today (14/11/07) while going through my bank account I found that premium against the policy no 1200600234881 which is to go on 12th of every month through ECS has not happened this month, I don’t know why……… I felt like crying with the kind of situation in front of me…….one fine day you find your self been cheated by the peoples whom you have trusted and given your hard earn money to create wealth for you.

Put your feet in my shoes and think one fine day you come to know that you are not covered under your insurance benefits just because the intention of the co. is to forfeit the money of the customers, please revert me if I am wrong ……as a lay man what I am suppose to understand.

One more fact before talking this policy my father warned me that these co.(met life) is not trust worthy, they will make you suffer big time and advised me to take some thing from LIC (PSU)…….. He was absolutely right.
Metlife agent Ajay Agarwal has evaporated in atmosphere, who called me 100 times for selling the products. I really don’t know what I am going to experience in the future …..frankly I am afraid ……I am bound to think if some unexpected thing happens to me will my old parent will be able to avail the policy benefits……….answer I also don’t know…… try to put your feet in my shoes you will realizes what I felt.

ICICI Lombard : Statement for closed Insurance policy

I had a housing loan with ICICI (LBBNG00001353338) and I had an ICICI Lombard policy (4065/0000001/ICICI/HL/0001230) linked with the housing loan. I had cancelled the Lombard policy and a cheque (cheque no: 009845) was sent to my old address (Inspite of updating the new address to the customer care). The cheque given to me is for Rs.33167.00. I had taken the insurance for Rs.50000.00. I asked for a statement which shows how Rs.16833 was deducted within a span of hardly one year.

These people dont care about customers. They tell that they dont have a provision for sending the statement and they put the blame on ICICI Housing Loan department (which is another group of PIRATES). Also when contacting the Customer Care they keep assigning some Request numbers and keep mum. The Customer Care also disconnects the phone which is a big shame. Please never take any products or services from ICICI.

Very bad service on ICICI Parental insurance at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut

Hi,

I have taken parental insurance policy for my dependent parents. I though it would be helpful to them incas of any hospitalisation when I am not around.

But it has become a headache to my parents now. My father had to hospitalise himself due to some health issues, and he was asked to pay some advance, room charges and all teh medicine charges even if he is insured, and was carrying the insurance certificatre with him. What is the need of an insurance if the patients are asked to pay everything, and more over some advance amount too because he is insured! This treatment was at Baby Memorial hospital Calicut, and teh hospital authorities were non coperative withe the patient and the by stander.

Patient was asked to wait 6 hours after discharging from the room. They explained that they are waiting for a reply from ICICI Lombard to get the bills claimed. They explained that tehy have to get soem advance amount from patient because they are not sure if they get all the bills claimed!!! He was asked to wait the whole day at the reception, and even after that they gave a reply that they are still waiting! Atlast my parents had to decide to go home . My father was so tired by taht time, due to illness and the strain given by the hospital authorites.
Just imagine, this is the situation of a dependednt parent when his/her children are not around to help them!

I am really fed up of this, and i suggest nobody go for ICICI Lombard insurance. It will not help you when you need a help for your old parents!

WorldMed has two versions:
WorldMed Lite: $100k for accidents, $5k for sickness
WorldMed (Plan A): $100k for both accidents and sickness.

Rest of your understanding about Patriot/Liaison is correct.

Answer to Narendra

thanx for the response.
I got more confused now.
so world med will only pay up 5000 for lets say 3 months for any sickness and up to 100K for accidents.
and
Patriot America/Liaison International: will pay upto 50K for sickness and accidents.

am i correct

Answers to Ashok

WorldMed Lite provides $100k for accidents and $5,000 sickness.

Both Patriot America and Liaison provide $50k coverage for 70+ for both accident and sickness.
Some differences:
Patriot America: Minimum 3 months purchase required to be able to renew in future. 90/10 coinsurance. Rx drugs card.
Liaison International: Any duration of purchase is fine to be able to renew. 80/20 coinsurance.

Therefore, you can go either with Patriot America or Liaison accordingly.
