Yes, Patriot America is safe and excellent plan to go with.

Yes, the procedure is very similar. Please read
http://www.insubuy.com/img-first-health-ppo-network/ as we have described exactly that on that web page.

Hi,
My mother is will be arriving in US this weekend. I am considering buying medical insurance from the buyamericainsurance website. However, I am confused as to which insurance company I should go with and which option. I had almost decided on Patriot America 90/10 coinsurance and deductible of 500. Is this a safe plan to go with? Will the procedure to go to the doctor be the same as for resident americans (show the id card and let the insurance company take care of the costs)? Please advise.

Regards,
Sandeep

Ragesh,

I believe that there is a little bit of misunderstanding on your part and I would try to clear that up.

Whether you go in network or out of network, you can always show the insurance card and the provider can bill the insurance company directly. No insurance company (at least the ones we work with) has ever any objrvyion with the provider billing directly.

However, in either case, that is in network or out of network, you always have to file the claim form. Please note that filing a claim form does not necessarily mean first paying upfront and then filing for reimbursement. Claim form has other uses. By you filing a claim form, you are giving more information about the medical problem and the treatment to the insurance company, and giving them authorization to contact the providers to get more information about the medical conditions.

Even before you search the providers in any plan, we have a detailed description that describes all these procedures. In case of Liaison International, you can read them at http://www.insubuy.com/seven-corners-ppo-network/

I hope that clarifies it.

By the way, both myself and the insurance company tried to search for your policy by email address, by your name in mailing address, or just your last name in case insureds last name is the same as yours, and even all Liaison sales in Beaverton, OR and nothing shows up that match you. Therefore, if you can contact me and provide me the certificate number, I may be able to help you further in your specific case to see what exactly is going on.

If you have any further questions or need help, please feel free to contact us at any time at (866) INSU-BUY.

I tool the Liaison Option 1 comprehensive for my visiting parents last year. I was totally confused about the procedures. I had to take my dad to an urgent care facility. I showed the insurance ID there. But 2 weeks later I got a notice from Liaison that I should notbe showing the Insurance ID there. Rather, I should be filing a claim, along with my Dad'a passport details. I dont understand now. Does this happen because I went to an out of network facility? Does liasion pay if I go to an out of network facility? Whats the difference between in network and out of network? If I want to go to an in-network facility, then its 20 miles away.

My in-laws are coming this year and I am seriously thinking about whether I should by the Liaison one or not.

I warn anybody who is going abroad with Bajaj Allianz as their Insurance Provider NOT TO TRUST them. Their service is pathetic.

When the Hospital I visited for my ailment tried to contact them, the unprofessional staff was clueless and unresponsive. I had to pay all my bills. I myself could not contact Bajaj Allianz for any of the basic services that they had promised to fulfill because they coudn’t respond to my calls for 3 days. When they eventually answered my call they informed me that their insurance cover is applicable in all Hospitals in USA. The hospital I went to, is one of the most reliable in the city I live in.

They couldn't even properly respond to the queries of the Hospital Staff in english !! The US telephone number was unreachable. There was absolutely no way for my Hospital Staff to contact Bajaj - Allianz and verify my details. Stay away from this pathetic, irresponsible and unresponsive insurance provider.

Hi!

My parents are visiting the US this month. They will be staying primarily in Seattle, WA with my brother but will also spend about a month in New York. Can i get the Atlas America insurance? Is that valid?

My grandparents are visiting from India and they are 69 and 64 years. What is the best medical insurance option for them? I am interested in comprehensive coverage. I looked at Atlas International (up to 250K coverage). Looking at the posts, sounds like Patriot America and a couple of others are good too. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with Atlas?
