International student health insurance is meant for international studying full time in USA. While some international student health insurance plans cover both the primary insured as well as the dependents, others cover only the primary insureds. They also generally cover maternity related expenses as long as the conception occurs after the effective date of the policy. Each university/college has their own minimum requirements that must be met before they can accept particular international student health insurance.
