Hello,
I was previously insured via your website with a fixed rate expat insurance policy. I think it is Global Basic Insurance (excl. USA & Canada) My premium was $827 for Dec 2006 - Dec 2007 (I am 44yo now). That was fine because I was in Prague, Czech Republic, and the medical fees there are very much less than in the West.
However, now I am in Paris, France and I want to have a plan that gives me
access to the American Hospital. The cost of visiting a doctor there can be 150 - 250EUR/visit. Additionally i want to be covered at 100% in the event of hospitalization (i can deal with a small co-pay if necessary), and it would be nice if pre-existing conditions are covered. My only pre-existing condition is TMJ joint problem, but I haven't had any problems with that for awhile. No other history of medical issues or hospitalization.
I've looked around a bit and I'm worried about a few things.
- the dollar is quite weak now, so that is why i need a policy that covers things based on actual cost
- some policies, like the Allianz Worldwide Care, or BUPA cost about 3000$/year for a plan that covers hospitalization as well as visits to a physician. Most of the plans you offer seem to be significantly less.
Where is the difference?
thanks
