Would the Diplomat Long Term Travel Ins, underwritten by GU, qualify as credible coverage when the insured returns to the country and enrolls back into the traditional coverages?

this would be for a VA resident traveling outside of the country for ~ 1 year.

Travel plans just that, travel plans. They are not major medical insurance plans.

And therefore, they can't be counted as creditable coverage.
