My parents will be visiting this month end, for 6 months. I would greatly appreciated it somebody can guide me to pick a good comprehensive policy. I don't mind higher premiums but I want something which covers reasonably and won't exclude everything based on pre-existing conditions.
I had very bad experience with AIG through India network, when my parents visited us last time. They found a lump in my
Mom's routine mammogram (ofcourse, out of pocket). When we had it removed, it costed us close to $9,000.
They paid us, after 6 months only $2000 saying the max. they cover is $400 for anesthesia and $1000 for an
outpatient surgery. When I was picking the policy, I had no idea how much hospitalization costs.
I am looking for a policy where eventhough premiums anddeductions are high, they will pay like 80% after a certain level.
Also, both my mom and dad have diabetes. My dad had an angio-plasty 10 years ago. Since then, he is healthy.
How far ago would not be considered as pre-existing conditions?

Thanks a lot!
